Mark your calendars for Dec. 11 from 12-3pm for Santa's annual Autism Community Store visit! Come get your picture taken with Santa at the store & create a special Christmas project with our friends at Blue Ribbon Arts! The long lines and drama of visiting the man in red is enough to keep many ASD Families from participation in the holiday ritual. The autism community store has asked a very special santa to visit with the kiddos. He has received training from the autism society of colorado and volunteers time to visit children with special needs and other who may not be able to discover santa at the mall. We invite everyone in our community to take advantage of this opportunity to introduce your child to a patient and understanding Santa, with no rush, no lines and no judgement. Pictures will be taken and this is a FREE event.
In addition, Autism Community Store will be holding a 1 day SibShop workshop for siblings of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities between the ages of 8 & 13. Get more information on our events page, http://www.fireflyautism.org/parentportal/calendar/eventdetail/57/-/sibshops.
Happy Holidays from all of us at Firefly Autism!
