Terms of Employment:

Employment is by annual Salary Agreement for one year (12 months). Employment is at will and may be terminated at any time for any reason deemed adequate by the Center. This is a full time, exempt salaried position. Salary is commensurate with experience.

General Summary:

Responsible for designing, training and monitoring of implementation of instructional and treatment programming, including behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals for Early Childhood students.

Supervisor’s Title:

Reports to the Clinical Center Director. Supervised by the Clinical Center Director and Chief Clinical Officer.

Essential Qualifications:

Education

• Professional certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Master's degree, preferably in special education, applied behavior analysis, or psychology

Experience and Skills

Ø  At least three years’ experience working in an applied behavior analytic model within autism or developmental disability field

Ø  Experience assessing clients and developing clinical intervention for clients with autism spectrum disorders

Ø  Experience in performance management and supporting a team in an intensive treatment environment

Ø  Demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills

Ø  Communicates and collaborates well with team members, parents, professionals, and clients

Ø  Knowledge of typical child development (developmental milestones and social/emotional development)

Ø  Experience implementing a variety of assessments, including but not limited to VB-MAPP, ABLLS, Vineland and ESDM

Ø  Demonstrates excellent oral communication skills

Ø  Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Ø  Able to exercise independent judgment and support program philosophy

Ø  Able to take direction and feedback from supervisors

Ø  Able to work cooperatively within a team

Ø  Relates well to parents and clients

Ø  Demonstrate dedication to and investment in client progress

Desired Qualifications:

  • Skilled in social skill development
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge and experiences with assistive technology
  • Sign language

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct Instructional and Treatment Programs:

  • Builds rapport with each client, creating and maintaining motivation
  • Implements skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming with clients
  • Actively participates in improving the quality of the program and center
  • Makes materials for instructional and treatment programs
  • Records and graphs data for behavior reduction and skill acquisition programming
  • Monitors problem solving for programming in which change is not in the desired direction
  • Attends and participates in weekly team meetings
  • Maintains designated client program books
  • Holds confidential all knowledge of clients and their families
  • Physically able to perform duties of the position, and other duties as assigned
  • Designs and implements behavior intervention plans for assigned clients
  • Designs functional behavior assessments for assigned clients
  • Trains staff and monitors implementation/treatment integrity for assigned clients
  • Provides documentation, including billing and service notes, for assigned clients
  • Effectively implements crisis and physical intervention procedures
  • Provides crisis support to clinical team and center-based teams, support PCs with suspension/expulsion decisions
  • Provides onsite crisis intervention for assigned clients
  • Oversees and Conducts Initial Consultation and Assessment
  • Write reports including but not limited to: 
    • Observation Summaries
    • Initial Consultation Reports
    • Assessment Summaries
    • Treatment Recommendations
  • Creates Treatment Plans to include but not limited to: 
    • Acquisition Programs
    • Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Compiles data for treatment plans
  • Creates visual representative of data weekly
  • Provides direct therapy
  • Collects data
  • Updates visual summaries
  • Reviews progress of Treatment Plans, and visual summaries on a minimum of quarterly basis with:
    • Senior Therapist
    • Lead Therapist
    • Program Coordinator
    • Family
  • Supervises all team members when applicable including: 
    • Case Managers
    • Therapists
  • Conducts Parent Training
  • Other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned
