Before you proceed we ask that you review the list of convictions below that preclude our center from having you join our team.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background review.
The Colorado Department of Human Services may take legal action against the license issued to Firefly Autism for employing persons who have been convicted* of the following crime:
a) Child Abuse
b) A crime of violence
c) Any felony offenses involving unlawful sexual behavior
d) Any felony, the underlying factual basis of which has been found by the court on the record to include an act of domestic violence or violation of a protective order
e) Any felony involving physical assault, battery, or drug related offense
f) A pattern of misdemeanor convictions, within the ten years immediately preceding the date of submission of the application
g) Third degree assault
h) Be determined to be insane or mentally incompetent by a court of competent jurisdiction
i) Use any controlled substance, including retail marijuana, or consume any alcoholic beverage during the operating hours of the facility or be under the influence of a controlled substance or alcoholic beverage during the operating hours of the facility
j) Be convicted of unlawful use of a controlled substance, unlawful distribution, manufacturing, dispensing, sale, or possession of a controlled substance, or unlawful offenses relating to marijuana or marijuana concentrate
k) Any offense in any other state involving similar elements above (a) (e) (l)
*convicted means a conviction by a jury or by a court and shall also include a deferred judgment and sentence agreement, a deferred prosecution agreement, a deferred adjudication agreement, an adjudication, and a plea of guilty or nolo contendere.
