Outreach

Learn about the outreach programs of Firefly Autism.

Telehealth Direct Services:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) telehealth services leverage digital platforms to deliver behavior intervention and therapy remotely. Through video conferencing, therapists interact with clients in real-time, providing guidance, support, and instruction tailored to individual needs. These sessions encompass various aspects of behavior modification, such as skill development, enhancing effective communication and functional, and social interaction training. ABA telehealth offers convenience and accessibility, breaking down geographical barriers and enabling individuals to access specialized services from the comfort of their own homes. Therapists utilize technology to observe behaviors, collect data, and adjust interventions accordingly, ensuring effective and personalized treatment outcomes.

Telehealth Parent Training:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) parent training via telehealth utilizes digital platforms to empower parents in implementing behavior intervention strategies tailored to their child's needs. Through live video sessions, ABA therapists provide parents with education, guidance, and support, equipping them with practical knowledge and skills. These sessions cover a range of topics, including behavior management techniques, reinforcement strategies, and communication methods, all within the context of the child's specific developmental goals. By engaging parents directly in the therapeutic process, ABA telehealth promotes consistency in intervention implementation and fosters a collaborative approach to supporting the child's growth and development. Additionally, telehealth offers the convenience of accessing specialized training from home, overcoming geographical barriers and enhancing the accessibility of ABA services for families.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training:

Firefly has received a grant to provide acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as part of a holistic ABA model to our Denver-based clients. The Caring for Denver Grant offers mental health support to individuals, couples, families, and caregivers in the Denver Metro Area. The goal of this grant is to incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into approaches used by Firefly staff to address anxiety and other mental health concerns among individuals with autism and their families/caregivers.
